Stykz lets you create stick figure animations. It is similar to Pivot Stickfigure Animator, but its developer especially designed it to run on all systems, including Mac and Linux systems.
The interface of the program contains 7 main elements. The stage is the place where you draw the stick figures and then create animations. You are able to operate in two modes: “Edit mode” and “Preview”. The Tools Palette contains tools that help you create and manipulate different animation objects, such as segments, circles, nodes or figures. Using the Properties Palette you are able to set properties for every animation element from segments to entire frames. The Frames Palette helps you switch between animation frames in order to edit them. The Controller Palette contains the playback functions, which you can use to preview your animations. The Commands palette was created to ease your work when creating animations. You are able to customize it and add buttons with the functions you use the most. The Library palette will store all the stick figures you draw for later use.
Stykz comes with a complex help manual that gives you detailed information on all the program features. You will easily learn how to use the application. You also have access to a set of tutorials that will teach you how to create animations.
Stykz can be used as an education tool or simply as a way of entertainment. And the best is that it’s completely free.
